Dairy NSW delivered the Inside Dairy program to Shoalhaven school students over two days on Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 March 2025. This project was sponsored by Shoalhaven City Council’s Business Partnership Program.
On day 1, students attended TAFE for the theory component of the program. Day 2 consisted of visits to dairy farms to showcase the variety of farming systems and hear from dairy workers about their career journeys.
Dairy NSW will now be supporting any student who is interested in pursuing a school-based traineeship, full time traineeship, or seeking casual work in the industry.
Council is honoured to be able to sponsor this project, aimed at addressing skills and workforce shortages in the dairy industry.
