The program aims to strengthen Australia’s multicultural fabric by supporting community-led organisations. Its objectives are to enhance the capacity of multicultural organisations to foster a cohesive society and promote social participation among culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) Australians.

Its objectives are to enhance the capacity of multicultural organisations to foster a cohesive society and promote social participation among culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) Australians. There is no mandatory co-contribution requirement, but applicants must cover any costs beyond the approved grant amount. Eligible activities include:

  • Events (max $5,000/year) – cultural or multicultural festivals, Harmony Week events.
  • Programs (max $40,000/year) – initiatives promoting social participation and intercultural engagement (e.g. sports, arts, youth or community programs).

To be eligible applicants must be a legal entity such as a Company, Cooperative, Incorporated Association, Indigenous Corporation, or Statutory Entity, be a registered not-for-profit or charity with annual revenue under $500,000. Applications must be submitted online via the Community Grants Hub.
