Venue Upgrade Grants Round 2 – Create NSW

Grants available up to $250,000.

Grants are available for dedicated live music venues to support venue upgrades that enhance audience and visitor experience. Funding will support the purchase of equipment and a range of infrastructure development works. Applicants must co-contribute at least 30% of the of the overall project budget (this can include cash and in-kind contributions). In kind contributions can include any donated goods, services, or volunteer work to support a project.

Open to live music venues that are based in NSW, both licensed and unlicensed businesses where live music is the primary function of the business. Live music should be at least three nights a week and programming is prominent in the business marketing and promotions.

Types of projects funded under this program include:

• purchase of production equipment (sound, lighting and staging)
• purchase of video screen (audio visual) technology
• Soundproofing works
• ventilation infrastructure
• accessibility works
• energy efficiency improvements to building

The project should be started by 14 March 2025 and the project must be completed by 30 June 2026.
