The Shoalhaven Export Hub
Launched in November 2020, after Shoalhaven City Council received grant funding through the Australian Government’s Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Export Hubs Initiative. The initiative will help Australian small to medium enterprises (SMEs) to grow, export and increase local and regional jobs.
The Shoalhaven Export Hub is a collaborative business-to-business network that helps small and medium-size businesses harness opportunities in global markets. The Shoalhaven Export Hub aims to assist businesses to build their skills and know-how. Seminars, workshops and networking activities will help to develop skills and contacts for members.
The Shoalhaven Export Strategy 2022 provided a framework and key actions that ensure businesses of Shoalhaven can become more involved in international trade.

Australia’s lead trade and investment agency. Austrade has a strong network and expertise in connecting Australian businesses to the world.
TradeStart
An extension to Austrade’s own offices and is delivered in partnership with State, Territory, and local governments, industry associations and chambers of commerce. In NSW TradeStart partners with the NSW Government to help exporters gain access to Austrade’s advisers, resources and overseas network. NSW export advisers deliver the TradeStart education programs in locations across NSW.
AusIndustry
The Australian Government’s principle agency for delivering assistance, programs and services which support industry, research and innovation. AusIndustry works with businesses every day and is connected to regions, communities and industries and enable government engagement with businesses.
Export Finance Australia (formerly EFIC)
Australia’s export credit agency provides Australian businesses with finance solutions so they can grow their export business.
NSW Government
NSW Government has a range of support measures for businesses at each stage of their export journey. This includes financial and non-financial assistance, export capability-building and tailored engagement with trade professionals in NSW and overseas.
Export Council of Australia
Export Council of Australia provides a variety of in-house and tailored courses designed to meet specific needs and develop international trade skills including short professional development courses. The Export Council of Australia also offers accredited distance learning programs.
