As the end of the year rapidly approaches, we’re looking back at some of the achievements of 2024.
Working with journalists and publications across the state, country, and even overseas has seen the profile of Shoalhaven continue to grow. More than just 100 beaches, we are a sprawling destination from the national parks, walking tracks and waterways, as well as events, cultural experiences, foodie + wellness experiences.
Our 2025 Visitor Guide is here, and continues to champion all the wonderful people and places across Shoalhaven. We have copies available in our Nowra and Ulladulla Visitor Centres, and are distributing to operators throughout the region ready for the summer tourist influx. If you’d like to stock the guides in your business, please reach out to the team on tourism@shoalhaven.nsw.gov.au.
Our new version of the 100 Beach Challenge has launched, in the form of a quiz! We know that there are so many beautiful places to explore, so have created a fun way for you to find your next sandy adventure. Whether you’re looking for somewhere for the kids to play, somewhere close by to eateries or somewhere a little off the beaten track, we’ll help you to find it. We’ve added in an Eat, Stay and Play option nearby to each to help disperse the crowds and help visitors to discover somewhere outside of their normal South Coast hit-lists. These listings are pulled from the ATDW listings on our website, so make sure that your business listing is up to date and showing all your current offerings.
We’re already working on our off-season campaigns, with journalists already locked in to visit in 2025. Centreing around wellness and food, we’re looking for operators of all kinds to feature, from dining and accommodation to uniquely Shoalhaven experiences and products. Have a product or experience to feature under the wellness umbrella? Whether it’s a retreat, a new service or a chance for visitors (and locals) to slow down and unwind, let us know here.
We’re excited to welcome visitors from far and wide to Shoalhaven this summer, and remind both tourists and locals alike to be conscious in the way that they travel on the South Coast. Remember to tag @visitshoalhaven in your social posts so that we can keep across what you’re doing.
Happy Holidays!
