The last month has seen journalists from a range of print and digital publications visiting our beautiful region as part of our annual off-peak food campaign, this year centred the theme of Wine, Whales and Foodie Trails‘. From headland walks to whale watching and dive trips to vineyards, breweries, distilleries and restaurants and producers across the Shoalhaven, we’re reminding people that the region’s charm is year-round.
In addition, Shoalhaven features in Destination NSW’s Feel New Regional Marketing Program, while the NSW National Parks x DNSW campaign Find your Path on a NSW Great Walk highlights the spectacular 3-day walk through the Murramarang National Park in the region’s south.
The Go GRAND campaign has seen almost 300,000 impressions a week, with a 65+% engagement rate, which is a win for industry and the region, especially during what is traditionally a quieter period. While it’s relatively new in market, there are constant optimisations, as well as upcoming media visits which will help further amplify the reach and results.
If you’re keen to get together with likeminded South Coast tourism professionals, add the Bundanon Tourism Mixer event to your calendar. Next Wednesday, 23 July, from 2:20-4:30pm, the iconic river-side property is opening its doors to tourism operators across the region to exchange ideas and stories, and spark new collaborations, as well as explore the current exhibition. Register your interest here – RSVPs are essential.
We’re about to start work on our 2026 Shoalhaven Travel Guide, our key destination print publication, and have opened bookings for advertising. There are a range of different options available, with 80,000 guides distributed throughout the region and across wider New South Wales.
As always, we love to be tagged on socials (especially stories) so we can keep across all the wonderful things Shoalhaven businesses are doing, and please reach out if there’s anything we can do for you.
