CSIRO are working to strengthen the net zero pipeline in NSW with an internship initiative, NSW Skills for Net Zero. As the facilitator, CSIRO completes the recruitment and advertising at no cost to the business and supports both the host and student throughout the internship.
At the completion of the 200 hours, the business can receive a financial incentive of $2,500. CSIRO has over four years’ experience with tertiary programs and see many businesses keep their interns on, extending the contract, or in a permanent role.
Interns have been placed in a wide range of roles ranging from start-ups to more established companies.
As a host workplace, business can benefit from:

- end-to-end recruitment and placement support from CSIRO’s experienced team throughout the internship
- up to $2,500 to help cover your intern’s wages (paid upon successful completion of the placement)
