The National Minimum Wage, and the minimum award rate, will be increasing to $26.44 per hour or $1,004.90 per week for ongoing employment. Government-funded Parental Leave is also increasing from 120 to 130 days. These changes apply from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2026, so it’s crucial to ensure you’re aware of the correct rates and leave entitlements.
