While school holidays are often our busiest times, our visitor centres have been full of people exploring Shoalhaven, whether it’s weekenders from Sydney, day trippers from surrounding areas, international visitors and touring grey nomads.
As the weather cools down slightly, the enquiries have been around the arts and culture activities available in the area, as well as exhibitions seen advertised at Bundanon and the Shoalhaven Regional Gallery. Family and nature-based activities have also been popular, with the revamped boardwalk at the Jervis Bay Maritime Museum receiving lots of questions. The golf courses across the region have also been popular with visitors.
The Visitor Information team were onsite with the tourism van at the Berry Markets in early March, and loved speaking to so many visitors, locals and business owners, and letting them know about all the wonderful things on offer in the region, as well as the different ways that the team can support local business.
A reminder that the Easter School Holidays are creeping closer, so be sure to update your ATDW and Google listings, to make sure that your opening hours and offerings are up to date. Have a special event coming up? Creating a listing through ATDW will allow the event to feature on the website, and tagging @visitshoalhaven can help the team stay on top of all the happenings.
We’ll be out and about in region delivering travel guides and other brochures in the weeks before the holidays, so please let us know if you’re in need of a stock refresh via the form here.
As always, we love to know what’s happening in your businesses so please let us know if there have been any changes or additions to your offerings.
