The school holidays and long weekend have kept the Visitor Centre team jumping this month with traveller enquiries focused on adventure activities, walking tracks, lookouts and scenic tourist drives. As well as the usual extended school holiday bookings, our team noticed an increase in requests for shorter 2 and 3 night stays and day trippers coming through from Sydney and Canberra or here for the day on their coast road travels.
Shoalhaven branded souvenirs plus books and maps were the top merchandise performers this month and it is clear that international travellers are enjoying our beaches and bushland campgrounds. The whales are back in big numbers as the migration turns around to head South. Whale watch operators have recorded some incredible encounters.
It was fabulous to see everyone on our recent Visitor Guide delivery and have recently undertaken a Famil day, this time to the Southern Shoalhaven. If your business offerings have changed, or you’ve got new services, buildings or products to showcase, we’d love to know – you can reach out to our friendly team on 02 4421 0778 or email us at tourism@shoalhaven.nsw.gov.au, we are also available on Live Chat.
